The world-wide gaming scene for TwixT is not exactly huge. It's more of a special interest game. Still there is a small but enthusiastic fan group that loves to play TwixT.

We decided to start a small tournament in order to get some of the players together. Many of them know each other only from online platforms and many would like to play each other live on a real board.

The time factor is pretty relevant when playing TwixT. A turn-based platform is not honoring this because some players are using more time (or even analysis software) and others don't. Although this is perfectly legal on those sites, it leads to the fact that the game results are a little biased.

At a live tournament it shows who the best player is!

Of course the fun of it is the main objective! This is the first tournament of this kind and the organization team does this not commercially andin their free time.
